Barcelona!

We took a trip to Barcelona!  Cayle, Hilary, Cody and Madison and I all went.  we made two friends from Finland who lived in Barcelona and we went to visit them.  It was such a nice trip!  The weather was nice and the city is beautiful!  To me, Barcelona is a city that has hidden beauty. You have to know what you are looking for.  It  was so nice to have our friends there to show us around!

We saw the beautiful architectural work of Gaudi in the Sagrada Familia and Park Guell.  We also walked down La Ramba many times and had the Spanish dish paella.  We briefly saw Olympic park and the Barcelona Stadium soccer stadium.

We really experienced the Spanish culture when we would have a "siesta" everyday in the middle of the day.  From about 2 to 5 in the afternoon most of the shops were closed and would go back to our friends apartment and sit, rest and take like a 30 minute nap. It really helped to recharge ourselves so we could continue sightseeing for the rest of the day. 

We also saw the Agbar Tower, a colorful monument of mainly offices, but it symbolizes the soul and spirit in Barcelona.  One night we saw the Magic Fountain of Montjuic.

Vienna!

While we were in Finland, we met people from all over Europe.  We met one girl that lives outside of Vienna, we call her Daisy.  So Easter Weekend we spent two days in here home town outside of Vienna and two two days in Vienna and we enjoyed it so much!  Her family owns a farm and we had so much fun touring her town and spending time with her family.   They fed us very very well!  It was so great to get real Austrian food!  We also went to a nearby ruin of a castle.  Later that day, we had fun walking Daisy's neighbor's dogs.

We then went to Vienna.  Vienna is such a beautiful city and it was a beautiful day to visit Vienna!
